Disappearing Desktop Icons

Sometimes your desktop icons all disappear, when this occurs:

Right click on the background and then click on “Refresh”.

Select Refresh

2. If this doesn't work, try opening file explorer by either clicking the folder icon OR pressing WIN+E.

Open your Desktop folder

3. Once you have file explorer open, go to “This PC” on the left panel, then open the desktop folder and see if the shortcuts are all there. If they are, try refreshing the background back in step 1.

4. If the icons still are not back, try logging out and back in
